3. Acceptance of Consent Agenda
Description:
As a good practice, the board should accept the consent agenda for the evening's meeting which includes minutes of the September 14 special meeting, the August financial reports, and correspondence to/from the Board.
RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of the superintendent that the consent agenda be reviewed and accepted. 5. NEOLA 2nd Reading - Title IX po2266
Description:
On September 14, the BOE approved po2266 Non-discrimination on the Basis of Sex in Education Programs or Activities for a first reading. It is presented here for a second reading and adoption. Final approval of this new policy will include deleting/rescinding po5517.02 Sexual Violence. Both policies are attached.
RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of the superintendent and the policy committee to approve po2266 for a second reading and adoption, and delete/rescind po5517.02. 7. SW10 Conference Application - Comstock
Description:
Comstock Public Schools has asked to be admitted to the Southwest 10. Athletic Directors and Principals from member schools have voted to accept them. Per the conference constitution, the next step is board approval. If approved, Comstock would join for the 2021-2022 season. Attached is a letter from the Conference, and a packet of information from Comstock.
RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of the superintendent, the athletic director and the principal to accept Comstock as a member of the Southwest 10 Athletic Conference beginning with the 2021-2022 season.
