February 22, 2021 at 6:00 PM - Notice of Drawing of Names for a Place on the Ballot

1. This notice is hereby given that on Monday, February 22, 2021, beginning at 6:00 p.m., a drawing will take place at the District’s Central Office Board Room located at 141 Lavaca Street, San Antonio, Texas 78210. The purpose of the drawing is to determine the order in which the names of SAISD candidates for Board of Trustees Single-Member Districts (SMDs) One, Three, Four, and Seven shall appear on the official ballot for the May 1, 2021 general election of trustees. Each candidate affected by the drawing is entitled to be present or have a representative present at the drawing.

Following the drawing, the name of each candidate who has properly filed an application for a place on the ballot, that complies with the requirements of state law as to form, content, and procedure or whose entitlement to placement on the ballot has been lawfully certified, shall be placed on the ballot in the order determined by the drawing. 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the District respectfully requests that no more than one guest attend the drawing with each candidate.
