Welcome to a meeting of the Board of Education of the Township of Holland. Please be advised that this and all meetings of the Board are open to the public and media, consistent with the Open Public Meetings Act (Chapter 231 Laws of 1975); and that advance notice as required therein has been provided. This is a regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Township of Holland at which formal action may be taken. The public will have an opportunity to be heard as indicated on the Agenda, at points in the meeting provided for the public to address the Board.

I.2. Bill List
Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board approve the Bill List dated January 28, 2025, check numbers 14379 thru NO485 in the amount of $876,052.86. |
I.3. Finance
1) Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools that the Board approve the transfers for the month ending December 30, 2024 as submitted by the Superintendent, as authorized by N.J.S.A. 18A:22-8.1. 2) To accept the Holland Township Board of Education's certification that the Superintendent, Stephanie Snyder, recommends that the Board of Education accept the monthly financial reports of the Board Secretary and the Treasurer of School Moneys for the months ending December 30, 2024 and she recommends in compliance with N.J.A.C. 6:20-2.13(3) that the Board of Education certify that no major account or fund has been overexpended and that as of this report sufficient funds are available to meet the District's financial obligations for the remainder of the fiscal year. 3) Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board accept the School Business Administrator/Board Secretary's, Teresa O'Brien certification as required by N.J.A.C. 6:20-2.13(d), that no line item account has been over expended as of December 30, 2024 and that as of this date sufficient funds are available to meet the District's financial obligations for the remainder of the fiscal year |
I.4. Travel and Related Expenses Reimbursement
Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools that the Board approve work-related and related expenses reimbursement for the following staff members that is directly related to and within the scope of their current work responsibilities, promotes the delivery of instruction, and is critical to the instructional needs of the School District or furthers the efficient operation of the School District, and is educationally necessary and fiscally prudent.

RESOLVED that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, the Holland Township Board of Education approves the employment of Ms. Nicole Miller as an Elementary Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year beginning February 18, 2025.. FURTHER RESOLVED, Ms. Miller will be placed on Step 1 BA of the 2024-2025 HTEA salary guide, $58,275 (prorated). |
O.3. Approve Unpaid FMLA/NJFLA/NJFLIA Leave
RESOLVED that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent the Holland Township Board of Education approves Employee #974 request for unpaid FMLA/NJFLA/NJFLIA leave beginning on or about January 3, 2025 not to exceed 12 weeks on an intermittent basis. |

RESOLVED that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent the Holland Township Board of Education approves Employee #2219 FMLA & NJFLA leave request to begin on or about April 22, 2025 for the maximum 6 weeks(FMLA) with a return date of on or about June 4, 2025. FURTHER RESOLVED Employee #2206 will utilize 12 weeks (NJFLA) beginning on or about September 22, 2025 with a return date of on or about December 15, 2025. |
O.6. Approve of Long Term Substitute Teacher
RESOLVED that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent the Holland Township Board of Education approves Ms. Tara Werner as the Long Term Substitute Teacher to begin on or about April 1, 2025 for the remaining 2024/2025 school year. Ms. Werner will be paid as follows: Regular per diem substitute rate of $140.00 per day for the first ten consecutive school days and effective on the eleventh consecutive day in the position, the rate shall be 1.3 times the regular per diem substitute rate ($182.00), and shall be retro-active to the first day. On the 31st consecutive day in the position, the per diem amount will be 1/200th of Step 1 of the 2024-2025 HTEA salary guide ($291.38). |

Q.1. Approve Professional Services
Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board approve professional services provided by the following for the 2024-25 school year: Pursuant to 18A:18A.5, the Board of Education of the Township of Holland in the County of Hunterdon and the State of New Jersey awarded the following contracts for licensed professionals for the 2024-25 school year as listed below. These contracts are awarded without competitive bidding as a "professional service" under the provisions of the Public Procurement Law. The contract itself is available for public inspection at the Office of the Board Secretary, located at 714 Milford Warren Glenn Road County Road, Milford, New Jersey, between the hours of 9:00 AM-3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
