Description:
Paid lunch meal pricing has remained the same for the past three years. SY 22-23 lunch meal pricing for paid students was $2.75 for Elementary (K-6), and $3.00 for Secondary (7-12). Reduced pricing is $0.40 and is set by USDA.
Paid Breakfast Meal Price: SY 22-23 paid breakfast meal price was $1.75. The actual food cost of a breakfast meal averages over $2.00. TDA will be reimbursing districts the $0.30 a meal for reduced breakfast meals and students qualified for reduced meal benefits will not be charged for breakfast meals. Fiscal ImplicationIncreased food costs and other costs charged to child nutrition are inevitable in the upcoming school year. Meal price increases would help offset those increases. |
