5. Order of Election - Board of Regent Positions 1, 2, 3, and 8. Attached is a memo from the Vice President, Financial Services & CFO regarding the Board of Regents Election on May 4, 2024, and the Joint Election Agreement for Election Services with Brazoria County that includes a list of Early Voting locations in Brazoria County.
It is recommended that the Board order the election for the uniform election date of May 4, 2024, approve the joint election agreement with Brazoria County, and approve posting of election notices as directed by the County Election Office in accordance with the election statutes that are administered by the Texas Secretary of State.

6. Employment of Allen Spector, Information Science and Computer Technology Faculty. Included in the agenda is a communication from the Interim Vice President, Academic Affairs & Student Services, recommending the appointment of Allen Spector as Information Science and Computer Technology Faculty for the 2023-2024 academic year with a start date of January 17, 2024. A biographical summary is also included.
The President joins in this recommendation. It would be appropriate for the Board to approve the contract for the period and conditions identified.
