I. SSP Central Square Community Center Feedback Session
The core operation of the CSCC is dependent upon membership and program revenue. Membership hit a peak in 2013 and has been on a steady decline since. Due to the current pandemic and an increase in local fitness centers, memberships continue to decrease. Given the financial constraints of CSCC, the South St. Paul School District and the City of South St. Paul, district and city leaders have been meeting to discuss the future of the CSCC. Since SSP Schools is the current owner of the Central Square facility, the school district is in the process of developing a plan for facility usage in the event the community center partnership with the city ends. The South St. Paul Public Schools is hosting two virtual community feedback sessions (October 22 and November 12) to learn how the Central Square facility can continue supporting the needs of our schools and community. |
