E. Security System ACTION
Description:
At our last meeting, we discussed the need for increase security. Instead of implementing a small upgrade as discussed last month, the board was interested in pursuing a more comprehensive approach. Attached is the full proposal with drawing and spec sheets attached of main equipment being installed. Additionally included is the quote from White Electric for installation with a not to exceed dollar amount. The coverage would include all areas inside of the building other than the obvious and will also include the exterior of the building. Officer Traci assisted with reviewing camera placement needs.
Jameson listed the maintenance option for your consideration. He personally goes back and forth on these. According to Jameson, they are great to have if you can afford it, if anything goes wrong its covered. If a year from now a camera goes bad and it needs replaced it could easily be in the $800-1,000 range with time and material. So he always proposes it as an option. A few questions that could come up and their answers : * System is expandable to 64 cameras, we have 38 bid so plenty of room for expansion if its every needed. * System has 24 TB hard drive, meaning by my estimate you should get 35-50 days of recording before the image begins to re-record over the oldest image. * System comes with free software, so we can install the IVMS as the call it, on your PC, Asst Principals, etc. * We will also install the HIK Vision app on your IPAD, Mobile Phone etc.. * All cameras bid are IR (Infra-Red, meaning they should do pretty well in pitch black or low light conditions. |
F. Landscaping/ Gazebo ACTION
Description:
Danner Construction will provide all the equipment, material, and labor for the construction of a 16'X16' Gazebo to be built and placed at the school for 8695. The cost of concrete would be in the amount of 850. Landscaping costs would cost 9482.55. RAEA will cover $5000 of the Gazebo cost. Additionally, the design will include the red bell placement. This is a project we have discussed since the renovation. I would recommend we move forward with the completion of this project utilizing Danner Construction and Carlson Landscaping as presented.
