III. CLOSED SESSION
The Board will recess to closed session at 5:30 p.m. to consider information regarding the appointment, employment, compensaion, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body, 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1), to discuss a School Board's self evaluation practices and procedures or professional ethics when meeting with a representative of a statewide association of which the public body is a member. 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(16), and to discuss minutes of meetings lawfully closed under this ACT, whether for purposes of approval by the body of the minutes or semi-annual review of the minutes as mandated by Section 2.06. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(21).

Description:

Comments should be in good taste and demonstrate consideration for others. Description:
Information will be provided during the closed session meeting of the Board of Education on February 22, 2021 regarding the appointment of the position of Principal for Edgewood Elementary School.

IX.B. AC: 21-07 Approval of Closed Session Minutes and Tape Recorded Closed Session Minutes Review
Description:
Each public body shall periodically, but no less than semi-annually, meet to review minutes and recordings of all closed meetings. Therefore, a determination must be made in open session at the February 22, 2021 School Board meeting that (1) the need for confidentiality still exists as to all or part of the minutes or (2) that the minutes or recordings or portions thereof no longer require confidential treatment and are available for public inspection.
Enclosed for your review is a catalog of Confidential Closed Session Minutes from January 11, 1982 to February 1, 2021 and the tape-recorded Closed Sessions from March, 2019 to February 1, 2021. Please review the listing prior to the February 22, 2021 meeting. Action on this item will appear on the February 22, 2021 School Board Meeting Agenda.
