Discussion/Action - Consent Agenda

Request approval to hire Ms. Taylor Stamps as an SAT teacher for the 2019-20 school year.  Ms. Stamps is a current substitute teacher in the district and all pre-employment requirements have been successfully completed.  The program hours are varied, approximately ten (10) afternoon and ten (10) evenings.  Ms. Stamps will be paid the extra duty rate of $37.88 per hour per the Collectively Bargained Agreement.

Request approval to hire Ms. Estrella Perez for the 3rd Shift Custodial position pending successful completion of pre-employment requirements for the 2019-20 school year.  This position is open due to the promotion of Mr. Tom Burbridge.  Ms. Perez will be paid $17.88 per hour per the Collectively Bargained Agreement.

Request approval to move Mr. Charles Farnsworth, Instructional Aide from probationary to full-time status with all the rights and responsibilities of a full-time employee as of January 16, 2020.

Request approval of the unpaid leave for ESS Instructional Aide, Mrs. Kathy Trybula through the end of the 2019-20 school year.

Request approval to hire Mr. Matthew McMurray for the position of Boys Water Polo Coach for the 2019-20 school year. This position is open due to the resignation of the previous coach, Mr. Federico Garcia. Mr. McMurray is currently teaching at Argo and all pre-employment requirements have been successfully completed.  Mr. McMurray will be paid $10,263 for the spring season (17.00% of BA Step 1, $60,367.00 at year 5) per the Collectively Bargained Agreement.

Request approval to hire Mrs. Mayra Ortiz for the position of Assistant Girls Soccer Coach pending successful completion of pre-employment requirements for the 2019-20 school year. This position is open due to the resignation of the previous coach, Mr. Robert Markatos.  Mrs. Ortiz will be paid $8,210 for the spring season (13.60% of BA  Step 1, $60,367.00 at year 1) per the Collectively Bargained Agreement.

Request approval for the Summit Park District Basketball Organization to use the Swanson Gym and the north basketball courts in the Frank Stout Field House.  The dates requested are Saturday's from February 15, 2020 to July 25, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  There will be no rental charge although fees for security and/or maintenance may apply. A current certificate of insurance is required prior to use of the facilities.
