Request approval to accept the notice of resignation from Mr. Jake Koulouris from the position of Substitute Technician effective January 3, 2019.

Request approval to hire Mr. Aaron Pembroke as a Substitute Teacher for the 2018-19 school year pending successful completion of pre-employment requirements. Mr. Pembroke will be paid $22.00 per hour based on the Collectively Bargained Agreement.

Request approval to hire Ms. Teresa Skupien as a Substitute Teacher for the 2018-19 school year pending successful completion of pre-employment requirements. Ms. Skupien will be paid $22.00 per hour based on the Collectively Bargained Agreement.

Request approval for Choral, Band and Orchestra Directors, Mrs. Nicole Durkin, Mrs. Megan Fitzgerald, Mrs. Jeanette Soebbing and parent chaperones to accompany approximately 100 students for an Out of State/Overnight Educational Trip to Orlando, Florida from March 22-26, 2020 during spring break. The attendees will stay at the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista Resort in Orlando, FL. Cost of the trip per person will be $1,500, which will cover lodging, meal costs and transportation. Money raised for the trip will come from various fundraisers such as parents working concessions at Seat Geek Park, Pancake Breakfast, and catalog sales. The cost to the district will be approximately $500 which will cover the cost of lodging and meals for the volunteer parents who will drive the uniforms and equipment to Florida. All chaperones will need to successfully pass a background check prior to this field trip.

Request approval for Choral and Orchestra Directors Mrs. Nicole Durkin and Mrs. Megan Fitzgerald to accompany student's Sal Macias and Emily Zwijack to participate in the IMEC - Illinois Music Education Conference in Peoria, IL on January 23-26, 2019. Their participation will require an overnight stay on January 24-26, 2019. Sal Macias will be sharing a room with a student from Elmwood Park High School and Emily Zwijack will be sharing a room with a student from Carl Sandburg High School in the Mark Twain Hotel in Peoria, IL. The total cost to the district will be approximately $580.00 which includes lodging and meal costs.

Request approval for Indian Springs School District #109 to use the David Brady Track and Field for their annual spring track needs on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Pending 75% residency no out of district fee for rental will be assessed. Fees for security and/or maintenance may apply. A current certificate of insurance will need to be provided prior to use of the facility.

Request approval for Summit Park District Basketball to use the Dr. Frank Stout Field House on Saturdays, January 26, 2019 to July 27, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Fridays, June 7, 2019 to June 28, 2019 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Pending 75% residency no out of district fee will be assessed. Fees for security and/or maintenance may apply. A current certificate of insurance will need to be provided prior to use of the facility.

Request approval to hire Mr. Macario C. Valdovinos as a pro-tech employee teaching the Adult ESL classes at Argo for the community. As the ESL Program grows, we will potentially need Mr. Macario Valdovinos as a second instructor. The cost of the program is split with District 104 and has been previously approved by the board. District 217's portion is $3,000. The program is funded through the Title I Grant.
