Information - Richard and Sharon Portillo Performing Arts Center Grand Opening, August 18, 2017 - (Time - TBD)
Information - QSCB (Qualified School Construction Bond) Interest payment update:
Mr. Murphy received a check June 20, 2017 in the amount of $491,367.68 from the IRS that represents our interest payment rebate due to our enrollment in the QSCB (Qualified School Construction Bond) program. Mr. Murphy engineered this enrollment application and our acceptance. Argo was one of about 21 schools out of 90+ who applied. A payment representing our interest on the bond payment will be sent to us once every six (6) months for the next twenty five (25) years, saving our taxpayers approximately $8 million dollars to pay for the $17.8M Portillo Performing Arts Center. (The payments will gradually lessen in value as the principal to interest ratio decreases over time.)
