10.2. Approve 2023 Payable 2024 Property Tax Levy

Description:
The 2023 Payable 2024 Levy of $1,403,893.22 represents an increase of $52,861.44 (3.765%) in the total levy as compared to the 2022 Payable 2023 Property Tax Levy.
Recommended Motion(s):
Whereas, Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, the School Board of Independent School District no. 640-Wabasso, is authorized to make the following proposed tax levies for general purposes: General Fund $709,174.95; Community Service $43,013.65; Debt Service $651,704.62, for a total proposed School Tax Levy of $1,403,893.22.
Be it Resolved, by the School Board of Independent School District No. 640-Wabasso, that the levy to be levied in 2023 to be collected in 2024 is set at $1,403,893.22. The Clerk of the ISD 640 School Board is authorized to certify the proposed levy to the County Auditor of Redwood County, Minnesota. The levy authority will also be forwarded to the Department of Education

Be it Resolved that the ISD 640 Board of Education approve the Agreement with Chad Altermatt as the licensed Boiler Operator for Wabasso Public School through June 30, 2024. Mr. Altermatt will provide all supervision, service, repairs, and reports as required by law, and he will be paid $100 per day during active boiler heating days in addition to his service repair time to be billed as needed and performed at $75.00 per hour
