Description:
The School Board welcomes input from community members and staff. A "Citizen
Participation" time is available at the beginning of the meeting. Please adhere to the following guidelines outlined in Policy 203. • Input should be short (approx. 3 minutes or less) • Comments should be germane to the agenda and respectful. • Repetition should be avoided if possible; new input is best. • Under Policy 203, public comment must not be discriminatory in nature. The Board Chair has the authority to stop any comments that violated Nova's policy or are discriminatory. • When the Business section of the meeting begins, citizen input should cease. Occasionally, if a topic is controversial, the Board Chair may choose to allow more citizen input during that particular agenda item. The Board Chair may also request input from the citizens if more expertise or clarification is needed on a topic. For December, the public comment will begin shortly after 9:00 am. |

Description:
The 2018-2019 revised budget approval is the 2018-2019 column with a decrease in fund balance of $65,407.
In addition, this report addresses the financial implications of remaining in the same facility with the same enrollment numbers. |

V.E. Draft Resolution #1 --Resolve to increase the enrollment in the school as necessary to maintain or improve Nova's Fund Balance through 2020 - 2021.

V.F. Draft Resolution #2 -- Create the "Nova 2023" Committee which will be charged with providing a recommendation to the Board no later than September 2019 on how Nova can grow through 2023.
Description:
Create the "Nova 2023" Committee which will be charged with providing a recommendation to the Board no later than September 2019 on how Nova can grow through 2023 while achieving the following goals:
- Maintaining the fund balance at or above levels committed to in the Charter; - Maintaining a balanced budget for each academic year; - Creating one or more facilities which meet Nova's academic goals for the next ten (10) years; and - Creating an environment at Nova which encourages student, staff, and faculty retention. |
