Description:
At this time, the President of the Board of Education will recognize visitors and ask if any citizen of the community is interested in speaking to members of the Board of Education. Time allowed will generally be limited to three minutes for each individual, unless waived by the President. All individuals who wish to address the Board of Education must sign up in advance. The President may limit the opportunity to address the Board in cases where a person has previously addressed the Board on the same or related subject. Issues brought to the Board prior to being channeled through the proper chain of command will be referred back to the appropriate level.

Description:
It is recommended that the minutes from the October 19, 2020 regular board meeting and the November 4, 2020 special board meeting be approved.

Description:

Description:
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the payment of bills listed, received during the month of October 2020, to be paid during the month of November 2020.and quick pays during the month of October 2020.

Description:
Lindsey Trickey has been employed as a secretary at Wells Elementary, effective October 29, 2020.

VI.5.b. Personnel - Classified - Leave of Absence
Description:
Efoe Kossi has requested unpaid leave from his position as an instructional aide, from November 6, 2020 through February 28, 2020, for personal reasons. Heather Wangler has requested unpaid leave from November 6, 2020 through December 12, 2020, for personal reasons. Laura Sanders has requested an extension of her leave of absence through December 31, 2020. Ms. Sanders works as a playground aide. Her request is for child care responsibilities. |

XII. Executive Session
Description:
In accordance with Chapter 5, Act 120, Section 2, of the Illinois Open Meetings Act, an Executive Session will be held to discuss:
Litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probable or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meetings. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11). The purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body, including meetings held for the purpose of discussing whether a particular parcel should be acquired. 5 ILCS 120(c)(5) The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. However, a meeting to consider an increase in compensation to a specific employee of a public body that is subject to the Local Government Wage increase Transparency Act may not be closed and shall be open to the public and posted and held in accordance with this Act. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1). |
