Based on initial discussion at the January 3, 2017 School Board meeting, this it is for continued Board discussion regarding the Le Sueur-Henderson Strategic Roadmap and Vision Cards for any desired changes or review of the process.

9.1. Additional Committee Representation (Board)

Description:
Student Wellness Committee - We are working on creating a Wellness Committee and need representation. The meeting requirements would be 4 times per year. Likely a good fit for a member of the Policy Committee if available as we will use information in review and development of the Wellness Policy.
Insurance Committee - The District must bid out their Health Insurance every 2 years. During the bid years, the committee will meet 2-4 times from January through April. Each meeting will take approximately 1 hour and should not last more than 2 hours. With help from Jeff McDonald the committee will help facilitate the bidding process, review final bids and recommend an insurance companies bid to accept. On non- bid years, the committee can meet to review the insurance policies, re-bid policies, etc. These would only be needed if employees are not happy with the current options. This again could be between 2-4 meetings from January through April, if necessary. |
