3. COLLEGE IN THE SCHOOL
Description:
As for CIS, we have 5 sections of MSU courses this year with approximately 40 students earning college credit. A student can earn 15 credits from MSU through these courses which is about 1 semester of college. This year we have several AVID students in the MSU class but do not earn credit because they do not qualify, but they do get the experience of a college class. We are investigating the possibility of adding some courses the South Central College but nothing definite at this point.

4. ACADEMIES
Description:
The Health Science Academy has about 10 students participating this year and the numbers are stronger for next year. The Ag. Academy numbers are down with only about 3 students participating. The Engineering Academy has good numbers but we do not have any course exchanges with St. Peter next year. They are sending no students for the Computer Integrated Manufacturing and we are sending no students for the Civil Engineering course. St. Peter has been consistently sending 12-18 students over here for welding every year.
