Count is down. Budget at 837. spring count is down to 806.05. Down 32 students between fall and spring. When we set our per pupil allocation what number do we want to use. In past we have used 10 student decline. In past we have used up to 20 student decline. Put my student out over the years with all the grades in the packet for march.

8.d. Threat Assessments Presentation

Mrs Serne will present the Threat Assessment. Threat assessment team members. Required to have a district/building wide threat assessment team. Vision - not just responding to threats but identify students before situations escalate. Threat assessment is not discipline, even with the deputy being part of the team. Is this threat a low level, mid-level, or high-level threat? Threats have been made or alleged to be made based off screenshots or other social media. Moving from a zero tolerance to a Prevention and support process. Identify students who may be in distress before a threat occurs.
Whole Child, Whole Picture: Immediate safety first. Is there immediate danger? Screening criteria - Has there been intent to harm Special Populations: Special education and 504 plan Is this their baseline behavior Can their behavior be managed through their behavioral intervention plan Information gathering: Interview student, witness, staff, and parents questions are built in. they are asked of all threats some questions can be hard to ask and go into details Survey go out to all staff to help gather a whole picture of the students. CPS, Youth Services Bureau, Look at Digital footprint Conducting any searches. lockers, personal property, student asked to empty pockets Does the student have access to unlocked weapons in the home Does the student have the means to carryout a threat that was made Does the student have a meaningful relationship with an adult at the school Assessment outcomes and determine risk level Intervention and management plans, Montoring, Relationship Building, Skill building, Discipline and safety Resources provided and referrals can be made to counseling at four family health Consistent check in with an admin or a teacher. Strengths: effective in implementing, would rather over-react, team makes it a priority. Weaknesses - communication between the two buildings, Parents and community posting to social media. when does a threat warrant communication out. Opportunties - additional practices, time to share and debrief What is next: Conversation for MSP will have a universal threat screener Time for PD around this What to communicate with the community? 24/25 3 - Elem 6 - JSH 25/26 6 - Elem 7 - JSH The Threat Assessment is not discipline but can lead to discipline if necessary. On average, one assessment can take around 10–12 hours.

Ted - state go through with the hunter safety curriculum. can this be done as an intervention? Jeremy is certified to teach hunter safety. could be taught in the intervention. how do we do the required field work? This is where we are having more discussions. There is no requirement to go to a field and fire no live rounds. Is there a partnership with a community range we could look at? could you pair with boater safety?
