V.C.1.a. THS Student Cemone Smith has been named a 2014 National Achievement Scholarship Semi-Finalist. More than 160,000 high school juniors from around the U.S. requested consideration. Semi-finalists are the highest-scoring program entrants in their region.

V.C.1.b. THS Student Jimmy Stone has been named a Commended Student in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program. Commended students score among the top 5% of more than 1.5 million students who entered the competition by taking the 2012 PSAT.
