Public Participation in the MAISD Board of Education Organizational Meeting.
 

Call for the nominations and election of President of the MASD Board for a term ending June 30, 2022.
 

Call for nominations and election of Vice President of the MAISD Board for a term ending June 30, 2022.
 

Call for the nominations and election of Secretary of the MAISD Board for a term ending June 30, 2022.
 

Call for the nominations and election of Treasurer of the MAISD for a term ending June 30, 2022.
 

Adopt a resolution establishing the Muskegon Area Intermediate School District Board of Education meeting schedule for 2021-22.

Approve depositories for MAISD funds for the 2021-22 school year as follows:

• Fifth Third Bank
• Best Financial Credit Union
• Flagstar Bank
• Huntington Bank
• JP Morgan Chase
• ChoiceOne Bank

Approve MILAF (Michigan Liquid Asset Fund) as depository for MAISD investment funds.

Appoint Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge as legal counsel for the MAISD Board of Education for the 2021-22 school year.

Approve legal counsel for specialized legal matters for the 2021-22 school year as follows:

• Thrun Law Firm - legal matters specific to the Revised School Code.
• Clark Hill PLC - legal matters specific to employee relations or as needed; and legal matters specific to special education.
• Lusk Albertson PLC - legal matters specific to labor and employment.

Authorize the MAISD Board Vice President and MAISD Board Treasurer as signees on all checks for MAISD financial accounts with the exception that only the Treasurer's signature be required for payroll checks and authorize the use of facsimile signatures on all checks drawn on the financial accounts.

Authorize the Superintendent to approve grant and project applications which seek funding from outside sources (i.e. governmental agencies, foundations, etc.)

Authorize the Superintendent of the MAISD to sign all employment contracts on behalf of the Board of Education.
