Conduct a public hearing under the provisions of PA 43 of 1963 as found in the Michigan School Code of 1976 and the Truth in Budgeting Act for the 2021-22 MAISD General Fund, Special Education Fund, Vocational Education Fund, School Lunch Fund, School Activity Fund and the Capital Projects Fund budgets.

Approve the 2021-22 General Fund Budget and adopt a resolution authorizing a tax levy of 0.4562 of one mill for capital needs, future capital needs and general operating purposes, and 0.9926 of one mill on behalf of local districts for technology and security on the MAISD taxable value of $4,992,304,360.

Approve the 2021-22 Special Education Fund Budget and adopt a resolution authorizing a tax levy of 2.2815 mills for capital needs, future capital needs and general operating purposes on the MAISD taxable value of $4,992,304,360.

Approve the 2021-22 Vocational Education Fund Budget and adopt a resolution authorizing a tax levy of 0.9922 of one mill for capital needs, future capital needs and general operating purposes on the MAISD taxable value of $4,992,304,360.

Approve the 2021-22 School Lunch Fund Budget.

Approve the 2021-22 School Activity Fund Budget.

Approve the 2021-22 Capital Projects Fund Budget.

Approve final 2020-21 Budget Amendments:

Approve the sale of 2430 Chestnut Trail, Muskegon, MI (Muskegon Charter Township Sec. 14 T10N R16W Oak Point Condominium Unit 34) to Stanley R. Vandenbosch, Jr. in the amount of $15,000 and provide approval for Michael Schluentz to sign all paperwork on behalf of the MAISD Board of Education for the sale.

Approve Hazard Pay for administrative staff and MAISD support role staff who were not included under the MI Classroom Heroes Grants.

Approve the grant application to the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA).
|
Approve the purchase of Discovery Education streaming licenses for 2021-22 in the amount of $53,700.
|
Approve the new Muskegon County Virtual Academy program to begin in the 2021-2022 school year.
|
Approve the contract with NextIT for one Tier 1 technician to serve at Muskegon Heights Public School Academy as part of the Lakeshore Technology Consortium (LTC), for $69,593.04.

Approve the contract between MAISD and Spectrum Neuro Rehab to provide one-on-one nursing services for students with those needs specified in their IEP for the 2021-22 fiscal year.

Approve the appointment of Colleen Ashley, representing Orchard View Schools, to the MAISD Special Education Parent Advisory Committee.

Approve a revised 2021-22 Early Childhood Payscale to include Longevity Pay for specified positions.
|
Approve the purchase of two (2) new 53-passenger school buses for Head Start transportation from Midwest Transit at $93,774 each.
