The Board President will acknowledge that she approved the remote participation of all board members in order to conduct the April 19, 2021 scheduled board meeting as a virtual meeting as permitted pursuant to the Muskegon County Board of Commissioner's extension of the Local State of Emergency through December 31, 2021, which allows Muskegon County public bodies to meet electronically under the Open Meetings Act (MCL 15.263a(1)(b).

Approve the reconfirmation of instructional delivery methods for the Extended COVID-19 Learning Plan for MAISD Student Programs.

Set Monday, June 21, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. for a public hearing on the following 2021-22 budgets:

Approve a one-year contract renewal with Chartwells as the Food Service Management Company to provide school meals for Wesley and the Transition Campus for the 2021-22 school year with an effective date of July 1, 2021.

Approve the purchase of walk-up copier equipment from Michigan Office Solutions in the amount of $56,398.
|
Approve the Muskegon County Juvenile Transition Calendar for the 2021-2022 school year.

Approve the purchase of two Zono double-door sanitizing cabinets in the amount of $49,400 (includes white glove delivery and set up) from Innovative Healthcare Solutions LLC for use in Head Start and Early Head Start.

Approve Revised Head Start Policy: COVID Fiscal Flexibilities

Approve the purchase of 61 Aerus classroom, office, and bus air filtration systems for Head Start and GSRP classrooms at a cost of $29,960 from Aerus of Augusta.

Award the preschool playground expansion contract at Muskegon Heights-Edgewood School to Sinclair Recreation of Holland, Michigan for the price of $18,800.

Move to one non-union longevity scale effective July 1, 2021.

Second reading of the Thrun Law Firm board policies, and adopt the resolution recommending the Board repeal its existing policies, bylaws and administrative guidelines, with the exception of existing Policy 5517.01, concerning student bullying, and adopt the Policy Manual, with the exception of Policy 5207 (Anti-Bullying) which requires a public hearing before board adoption.
