Motion: The Board of Education approves the consent agenda to include the following:

V.A.1. Hiring of Patricia Sanchawala, 1.0 FTE Special Education Resource Room teaching position at East Lansing High School at MA Step 11 effective August 22, 2022.
 

V.A.2. Hiring of Angie Cheritt, 1.0 FTE Science teacher at MacDonald Middle School at BA Step 9 effective August 22, 2022.
 

V.A.3. Hiring of Hunter Russell, 1.0 ELL Teacher at MacDonald Middle School and East Lansing High School at BA Step 3 effective August 22, 2022.

VI. Public Comment:  This is the opportunity to address the Board.  Speakers are to confine their remarks to five minutes.  If a speaker requires more than five minutes, after all other persons who have requested to speak during this part of the meeting have spoken, that speaker will be allowed additional time.  The Superintendent or other district staff may comment to clear up or avoid significant misunderstandings.
 

VII. Action Items

VII.A. Replacement of "Puberty the Wonder Years" Video for Grades 4, 5, and 6
Motion: The Board of Education approves the replacement of the "Puberty the Wonder Years" video for grades 4, 5, and 6.
 

VII.B. Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) paraprofessional recommendation for hourly rate increase
Motion: The Board of Education approves the modification to the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) from 1/1/22 – 6/30/24 with the East Lansing Educational Support Personnel Association (ELESPA) to adjust the hourly rate of paraprofessionals in the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) to be equal to the specialized hourly rate of the American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter.
