II. Public Comment
This is the opportunity to address the Board.  Speakers are to confine their remarks to five minutes.  If a speaker requires more than five minutes, after all other persons who have requested to speak during this part of the meeting have spoken, that speaker will be allowed additional time.  The Superintendent or other district staff may comment to clear up or avoid significant misunderstandings.

III. Consent Agenda

III.A. Motion:  The Board of Education approve the consent agenda to include the following:

III.A.1. Reinstatement of the Elementary Instructional Coach’s positions at Donley and Pinecrest.  Both of these positions will be reinstated at a .70 FTE

III.A.2. Unpaid personal leave of absence for paraprofessional, Mindy Phung for the 2014-2015 school
year.       

III.A.3. .30 FTE unpaid personal leave of absence for Ms. Julia Cawood and Ms. Andrea McPherson-Rumsey for 2014–2015 school year.   Ms. Cawood and Ms. McPherson-Rumsey will be entitled to return to their 1.0 FTE teaching positions for the 2015-2016 school year should funding cease to exist for the instructional coaching positions.

III.A.4. Hiring of 1.0 FTE Glencairn Elementary teacher Ms. Katrina Nordquist at the MA Step 3 level effective August 26, 2014

III.A.5. Hiring of .80 FTE High School Social Studies teacher Mr. Ryan Ridenour at the BA Step1 level effective August 26, 2014

III.A.6. Hiring of 1.0 FTE Middle School teacher Ms. Katelyn Newcombe at the BA Step1 level effective August 26, 2014

III.A.7. Appointment of Ms. Tracey Barton as Principal of Donley Elementary School effective August 26, 2014

III.A.8. Hiring of 1.0 FTE Whitehills teacher Ms. Tyne Sanders at the MA Step 2 level effective August 26, 2014

III.A.9. Hiring of 1.0 FTE Donley teacher Ms. Megan Gracik at the BA Step 2 level effective August 26, 2014

III.A.10. Hiring of .80 FTE High School teacher Ms. Nicole Heggelund at the MA Step 6 level effective August 26, 2014

IV. Action Items

IV.A. Policy - Emergency Anaphaylaxis 
Motion:  The Board of Education adopt the Emergency Anaphylaxis Policy Language as presented to become an addendum to Policy section 2780 - Administration of Medications by School Personnel.

IV.B. 6th Grade Math Pilot Program
Motion:  The Board of Education approve the pilot of Connected Mathematics Project (CMP3) as the 6th grade math program for the 2014 – 2015 school year at MacDonald Middle School as presented.

IV.C. 6th Grade Exploratory Courses
Motion:  The Board of Education approve the proposed 6th grade Exploratory Courses for the 2014 – 2015 school year at MacDonald Middle School as presented.

V. Board Discussion

V.A. Closed session
Motion:  The Board of Education meet in closed session for the purpose of discussing collective bargaining strategy pursuant to Section 8C of the Open Meetings Act.
