G.1. Recommend Award of RFQ 22-02-22 Construction-Manager-At-Risk for the Laguna Elementary School Renovation Project to Chasse Building Team

G.1.a. The District issued a Request for Qualifications, RFQ 22-02-22 for a Construction-Manager-At-Risk for the renovations at Laguna Elementary School. The selection committee is recommending award to Chasse Building Team for the design phase of the project. Please see additional information attached.

G.2. Recommend Award of Bid 22-03-22 Community Learning Center and Preschool to Adolfson & Peterson Construction
|
G.2.a. The District issued an Invitation for Bid for the Community Learning Center and Preschool, IFB # 22-03-22, on October 27, 2021. The District received four (4) bids on January 4, 2022. The District is recommending award to Adolfson & Peterson Construction. This project is funded by School Improvement Bonds and supplemented with District Capital funds, if necessary.

G.3. Recommend Approval of Flexible Benefit Plan Amendment

G.3.a. District Administration recommends approval of the attached Flexible Benefits Plan CARES Act Amendment as permitted by The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 (CAA) and IRS Notice 2021-15.

H.1.a. District Administration recommends approval of the District Calendar for the 2023-2024 school year. The only revision from the proposed calendar was to include notes in December and May regarding early release days during final exams for grades 7-12.

H.2. Recommend Approval of Policy GCO Evaluation of Professional Staff Members
|
H.2.a. District Administration recommends approval of Policy GCO Evaluation of Professional Staff Members. This policy was brought to the Governing Board for review in November 2019; however, there is not a record of the policy being brought for final adoption. No changes have been made from the policy that was brought for review in 2019, and our existing evaluation procedures already are in alignment with the policy.

H.3. Recommend Approval of Updated Safe Return and COVID Mitigation Plan and Authorization of Superintendent to Make Ongoing Incremental Changes Prior to Requesting Board Approval at Subsequent Meetings
|
H.3.a. District Administration recommends approval to revise the Flowing Wells Safe Return to In-Person Instruction and COVID-19 Mitigation Plan and to authorize the superintendent to make ongoing incremental changes prior to requesting Board approval at a subsequent meeting. Revisions include the following: reduction of isolation time for confirmed cases to a minimum of five days; reduction of quarantine time for close contacts to five days; and an alternative to quarantine known as "test to stay."
