3.A. Mid-Coast Mustang and Ford Club - Donation of backpacks filled with school supplies
|
3.B. Dr. Dan Meekins of Hanson-Meekins Animal Hospital for donating an ultrasound machine and a dental x-ray machine and Dr. Helen Sutthill of Harbor Lights Animal Hospital for the donation of an autoclave. These donations total tens of thousands of dollars. The equipment will be used to train students in Intro to Healthcare Careers, to assist College Biology students in their research, and for freshman physics students to understand applications of how waves work.

The Board welcomes comments and questions from the public. If you wish to address the Board, please email the Board Secretary at cschreiber@nbend.k12.or.us by 12:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting and your comment may be read aloud. You may also attend the meeting and comment during the public participation segment. We ask that you limit your comments to three (3) minutes. If more than one person will be addressing the same topic, we ask that you appoint a spokesperson to speak for the group. Speakers may offer objective criticism of school operations and programs, but the Board will not hear comments regarding individual school personnel. (Policy BDDH: Public Comment at Board Meetings) |

13. EXECUTIVE SESSION
The Board will meet in executive session to conduct deliberations with persons designated by the governing body to carry on labor negotiations pursuant to ORS 192.660(2)(d). Representatives of the news media and designated staff shall/shall not* be allowed to attend. All other members of the audience are asked to leave the room. (In this instance, for the convenience of the larger audience, the board will adjourn to another room and then return to the open meeting.) Representatives of the news media are specifically directed not to report on any of the deliberations during the executive session, except to state the general subject of the session as previously announced. No decision may be made in executive session, except for a student expulsion. At the end of the executive session, we will return to open session. *"Shall not" refers to the four exceptions: student expulsions, consultation with labor negotiators, discussing student medical or educational records, and cases in which they or their media organization are involved in litigation with the district that will be discussed during the executive session. |
