Description:
The school board receives written comments by email at board@4j.lane.edu, and sets aside time in each regular board meeting to hear public comment.
Community members can sign up to speak to the board by submitting their request online at 4j.lane.edu/board/publiccomment, or contact the Superintendent Office. The deadline is the Monday before each meeting. Individual speakers are limited to three minutes, and cannot give their time to another speaker. A timekeeper will show a sign when the speaker has 30 seconds left and when their time is up. Speakers may offer objective comments or criticism about district operations and programs. For complaints about individuals, the district has a board policy and complaint process. Please contact the Superintendent's Office at 541-790-7706 for more information about submitting a formal complaint. |
