2. Land Acknowledgement
Description:
Truth and acknowledgment are critical to building mutual respect and connection across differences. Please take a moment to consider the many legacies of violence, displacement, migration, and settlement that bring us together here today. The Parkrose Board of Education begins this effort by acknowledging that we are gathering on the ancestral and unceded lands of the Chinook, Multnomah, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Cowlitz, Tualatin, Kalapuya, Molalla and many other tribes who made their homes along the Columbia River in the Portland area. We pay respect to their elders past and present. We acknowledge them as the past, current and future caretakers of this land.

4. Budget Committee Chair and Vice Chair

Description:
We are looking for a Chair and a Vice Chair from our ten voting members to guide the Budget Committee through our upcoming meetings. While we appreciate the participation and input of our student representatives who are invited to these meetings, only voting members are eligible to serve in these specific positions.
If you are hesitant about the logistics or procedural rules, please be assured that we provide full facilitation scripts in advance. They are designed to help you lead the discussion with confidence and ease. This committee will take formal action to appoint the volunteers during our next scheduled meeting. |

5. Upcoming Budget Meeting Dates
Description:
All Budget Committee meetings begin at 6:30pm in the Parkrose School District Office Boardroom. In-person attendance is requested.
