5. Consider approval of bills as presented in the amount of $2,593,919.60 be authorized; that salaries for the month of December 2023 be authorized; that quick pay for November 2023 in the amount of $799,536.64 be approved; and that January 2024 salaries and bills to be quick paid be authorized.

7.A. Employ Lee Coleman as a permanent substitute teacher, effective November 17, 2023, contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements.

7.B. Employ Yolander Hart as a permanent substitute teacher, effective November 17, 2023, contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements.

7.C. Terminate the employment of Pamela Hughes, permanent substitute teacher, effective November 14, 2023.

7.D. Approve intermittent Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) for Elizabeth Johnston, teacher, effective August 17, 2023, through the close of the 2023-2024 school year. Ms. Johnson will be using her accumulated sick and personal days in conjunction with her FMLA and will be docked for the remainder of this leave. Commencement or termination of this leave may be adjusted.

7.E. Approve intermittent Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) for Denise Marshall, effective January 9, 2024, through April 9, 2024. Mrs. Marshall will be using her accumulated sick and personal days in conjunction with her FMLA and will be docked for the remainder of her leave. Commencement or termination of this leave may be adjusted.

7.G. Approve the 12 Month Administrator Vacation Policy.

7.H. Increase substitute secretary rate of pay from $86.38 per day to the daily rate of pay for the position they are covering, which will increase by $25.00 if they are in a long-term position. Effective immediately.

Consider accepting the hearing officer's recommendation from the discipline hearing held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, to expel an eighth grade student for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year. However, the expulsion will be stayed if the student successfully completes remote learning through the Cahokia Unit School District #187 with the guidelines of Illinois Virtual School.
