I.C. HVAC Controls Project for South Junior High School Change Orders Totaling +$68,026.71
Description:
The Administration recommends approval of the following change orders for the above named project.
- Change Order #3 with Boser Construction, Inc. in the amount of +$68,026.71 for the following changes at South Junior High School: electrical and low voltage additions as requested by staff after completion of HVAC project; mechanical additions as required due to existing conditions; replacement of door panels found to contain asbestos; and repair of existing glazed block wall. This project is being funded with long term facilities maintenance funds. This change order is within the approved budget for this project. |
I.D. Bid Award - Apollo High School HVAC Infrastructure Upgrades
Description:
The Administration recommends that the Board of Education award the bid for Apollo High School HVAC Infrastructure Upgrades to Boser Construction, Inc. in the amount of $15,797,000.00 based on low bid received meeting specifications. This bid award includes Alternates No. 1, 2, and 3.
A bid tabulation is attached. This project will be funded with long term facilities maintenance and capital outlay funds. This bid is over the budget amount so the District will be issuing a Proposal Request to reduce the cost.

Description:
The following proposed updated/revised and new Board Policies for Section 800, Buildings and Sites, as well as proposed revised Board Policy 709, Student Transportation Safety Policy, are on the agenda for the third and final reading.
