Description:
Each year, the Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) designates one week in February as School Board Recognition Week. This year, it is February 17-21.
Chris Blauer, Principal of Lincoln Elementary School, along with students and staff will make a presentation recognizing the efforts of our School Board Members and expressing appreciation for their service. |

She will also include information on how her office supports the volunteers. Jenifer Odette, a District volunteer, will share her experiences as well.

Michael Beehler, Physical Education Teacher, Discovery Community School, effective March 10, 2014 through the remainder of the 2013-2014 school year, Lane BA, Pay Level 2 (4% of a full time contract). Mr. Beehler’s salary for this assignment will be $1,362.72. Mr. Beehler is currently a 60% of a full time contract teacher. Erin Phillips, Art Teacher, Technical High and Kennedy Community Schools, effective January 27, 2014 through the remainder of the 2013-2014 school year, Lane MA, Pay Level 4 (2% of a full time contract for 91 days). Ms. Phillips salary for this assignment will be $4,254.15. Ms. Phillips is currently a full time contract teacher. Carol Potter, Elementary Principal, Talahi Community School, effective for the 2013-2014 year, 10 additional days of compensation for administrative duties related to extended school year for Talahi Academy Program. Ms. Potter’s salary for this assignment will be $4,034.43. Steven Wagner, Physical Education Teacher, Apollo High School, effective March 10, 2014 through the remainder of the 2013-2014 school year, Lane MA+15, Pay Level 14 (3% of a full time contract). Donation in the amount of $700.00 from Scholarship America to the Tech High School American Sign Language Club for Target Field Trip. 3. Donation in the amount of $500.00 from the Tech Boys' Basketball Booster Club to South Junior High School to upgrade and purchase new equipment for the weight room. 4. Donation in the amount of $1,000.00 from Daniel and Susan Miller to Tech High School for a Tech Band Florida trip. 5. VII.H. Renaming of Former Kennedy Elementary School
Description:
The Administration recommends approval of a new name for the former Kennedy Elementary School building in St. Joseph. The students at the new Kennedy Community School have suggested the name "Colts Academy" and the School Board Finance and Audit Committee has reviewed the new name and recommends the name change.
