Ms. Shirey’s salary for this assignment will be $8,349.55. Resignation Stephanie Bales, Spanish Immersion Teacher, Clearview Elementary School, last day of service June 7, 2012. I.C. Agreement for Permanent Easement
The Administration recommends approval of an agreement with the City of St. Cloud for a permanent easement of approximately 54,675 square feet of the School District's property located at 3350 County Road 74 for a sum of $13,000. This permanent easement is being requested by the City of St. Cloud in order to make interchange improvements to Highway 15 and 33rd Street South. A copy of a letter from the City of St. Cloud is attached.

I.D. Acceptance of Grant Awards
Description:
The Administration recommends acceptance of the following Local Education & Activities Fund grants to purchase PAKRAT Program K-3 books. These grants are part of the Bernick's/LEAF support of the District 742 PAKRAT child literacy and parent involvement program.:
Kennedy Community School: $4,500 (New PAKRAT Books for K-3) Clearview Elementary School: $4,500 (New PAKRAT Books for K-3) Oak Hill Community School: $1,500 (New PAKRAT Books for Grade 3) Westwood Elementary School: $3,500 (New PAKRAT Books for Grades 1-3) Lincoln Elementary School: $790 (Replacement Books) Discovery Community School: $790 (Replacement Books) Talahi Community School: $790 (Replacement Books) Madison Elementary School: $790 (Replacement Books) The Administration also recommends acceptance of $7,200 to St. Cloud Area School District 742 to cover the $650 stipend for each building Team Leader as well as the $2,000 stipend for the Grant Coordinator. |
I.E. Call for Bids - Flooring Projects - Apollo, Clearview, Discovery, McKinley, North, and Westwood
The Administration recommends that the Board of Education authorize a Call for Bids for Flooring Projects - Apollo, Clearview, Discovery, McKinley, North, and Westwood to be opened on Thursday, April 26, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. Central Time. This project will be funded with Deferred Maintenance funds. The Call for Bids page will be available at: www.isd742.org. |
I.F. Approval for Submission of Grant Application
Description:
The Administration recommends approval for submission of a 21st Century Community Learning Center grant application by North Junior High School to the Minnesota Department of Education in the approximate amount of $200,000 per year (for up to three years). The purpose of the program is to establish a high quality afterschool program at North Junior High School for students in grades 6-8. The funds are being requested to provide a wide range of high-quality enrichment opportunities in partnership with several community businesses/organizations. The North 21st CCLC will complement the regular academic program and be offered during times when school is not in session including after school, school release days, and a minimum of four weeks during the summer. If the grant is awarded by the Minnesota Department of Education, programming would begin at the start of the 2012-13 school year. A Project Coordinator would be hired as part of the grant.
