Description:
Background: Jennifer Peterson, Director of Academic Services, and Melisa Hanson, College and Career Readiness Coordinator will be presenting 2020 CTE Month Proclamations to committee members and recognizing River Falls High School staff for their dedication to supporting Career and Technical Education through coursework, programs, activities, and student work-based experiences.

5. STEM Lab and Career and Technical Education Programs tour at River Falls High School
Description:
Background: The River Falls High School Career and Technical Education (CTE) team and administration will provide committee members with information regarding CTE programming and a tour of the STEM Lab and CTE classrooms. The tour will highlight resources, equipment, and programming provided to meet the needs of our students aligned with current Business & Industry needs.

6. Discussion regarding the use of digital tools and devices
Description:
Background: Jennifer Peterson, Director of Academic Services, and administration will discuss future action steps regarding the district's intentional review of device usage. Discussion will also include a review of our District's current practices, a focus on student data privacy, developing and providing resources for students, staff, and parents, and reviewing other recommendations.

7. Update regarding the upcoming districtwide February Inservice
Description:
Background: Jennifer Peterson, Director of Academic Services, will provide committee members with an update regarding the District's upcoming Mental Health Summit & Wellness Fair which will be held during our staff inservice on February 17, 2020.

8. Approve the preliminary field trip application for the High School Marching Band to attend the Bands of America regional performance
Description:
Background: Jennifer Peterson, Director of Academic Services will present the preliminary field trip application for the High School Marching Band to attend the Bands of American regional performance in Indianapolis, IN, October 23-25, 2020.
Recommended Action: Approve the preliminary field trip application for the High School Marching Band to attend the Bands of America regional performance. |
