Description:
Background: Kit Luedtke, River Falls High School Principal, and staff will present new courses for committee approval. Courses proposed support expanded Career and Technical Education (CTE) programming that align to current industry standards and utilize new equipment provided through grant funding. Additionally, program shifts support Academic and Career Planning aligned to our College and Career Readiness work at the secondary level.
Recommended Action: Approve proposed new courses Career and Technical Education (CTE) Capstone, Welding II and CNC Manufacturing. |
5. Approve course revisions and updates to 3D CAD & Design and Computer Programming
Description:
Background: Kit Luedtke, River Falls High School Principal, and staff will present revised and updated courses for committee approval. Course revisions proposed support expanded Career and Technical Education (CTE) programming aligned to industry standards and our College and Career Readiness work at the secondary level.
Recommended Action: Approve course revisions and updates to 3D CAD & Design and Computer Programming. |

Description:

7. Approve course title change from Digital Media to Digital Marketing, Exploring Woods and Plastics to General Woodworking, from Introduction to Engineering Design to Engineering Design and Principles of Engineering Design to Applied Engineering
Description:

8. Approve the recommendation to retire Digital Electronics from the approved HS course list
Description:
Background: Kit Luedtke, River Falls High School Principal, and staff recommend committee approval to retire Digital Electronics from the High School course offerings.

9. Approve the River Falls High School Credit Reduction Plan presented
Description:
Background: Kit Luedtke, River Falls High School, and staff will present committee members with a recommendation to reduce the number of credits required for graduation in the River Falls School District. Plan components will include a transitional plan to reduce graduation credits over the next two years and will incorporate alternative course and study hall opportunities for students.
Recommended Action: Approve the River Falls High School Credit Reduction Plan presented. |
