5. Award Presentation:
The Cleanie Award D158 has been voted as a Finalist in the Cleanie Award which is a national competition for a Project of the Year award which recognizes projects that add tremendous community value. These may include local economic impact, environmental impact, or carbon offset impact. From developers, investors, financial and legal experts to the corporate buyers and many more, it takes a village to get a project secured and started. The Solar Builder Award D158 has also been voted a finalist in The Solar Builder Award. The Solar Builder seeks to highlight the most outstanding Photo Voltaic projects in the solar industry each year. Any Photo Voltaic project is eligible big or small. They are looking for innovative installations which help their community and/or sites which just look really awesome, are inventive, interesting or impactful. |

13.2. Purchase of General Obligation Bonds - Series 2022A (R) Mr. Altmayer
During the month, the District finalized another phase of the District’s Debt Restructuring Plan. During the month we finalized and accepted the lowest bid for the purchase of $11.8M of Series 2022A General Obligation Refunding Tax Exempt School Bonds. The Bond will be purchased pursuant to the provisions of a Forward Bond Purchase Agreement and has been executed by locking in the rate and terms of the Bond. The Bond will be issued on the Closing Date of October 7, 2022. The Bonds bear interest at a 1.92% and mature in February 2029, with varying principal payments from February 2026 to February 2029. At the August 5, 2021 Committee of the Whole meeting of the District 158 Board of Education, the Administration presented the Board with an updated O&M Life Cycle Deferred Maintenance capital projects report which included Track Resurfacing at Marlowe Middle School to be done in FY24 and Heinemann MiddleSchool Track Resurfacing in FY23. However, at this time, Marlowe Middle School’s track surface is showing significantly more signs of wear than Heinemann Middle School’s track. On November 19, 2021, a bid specification for a track resurfacing project at Marlowe Middle School was released.
