Description:
The Superintendent recommends approval of an overnight out-of-state field trip to Brooklyn, Ohio for the Howell High School Varsity hockey team to attend the Father Styles Hockey Showcase, January 15 - 16, 2022, as shown in Exhibit B.

7.D. Approval of Overnight Field Trip to Interlochen, Traverse City, and Frankenmuth, Michigan, for AFJROTC - EXHIBIT C
Description:
The Superintendent recommends approval of an overnight field trip to Interlochen, Traverse City, and Frankenmuth, Michigan, for AFJROTC senior cadets on February 10 - 14, 2022. They will be visiting the Michigan Hero's Museum in Frankenmuth, Michigan, and the Apollo Command Module at the Grand Rapids Public Museum that is on loan from the National Air and Space Museum, as shown in Exhibit C.

Description:
The Superintendent recommends approval of the first read of new and revised board policies: 0100, 0144.1, 0167.3, 3120, 6114, 6152, 7450, 8310, 8320, and 8330, as shown in Exhibit D.

8.A.2) Approval of the Student Discipline Committee's Recommendation - (Case #165)
Description:
Approval of the Student Discipline Committee's recommendation to expel the student identified in Student Case #165 from in-person instruction at Howell Public Schools for the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year for violating Board Policy #5500 - Student Code of Conduct regarding harassment/bullying and destruction of school property. The recommendation includes hearing a Petition for Reinstatement to in-person instruction as early as July 1, 2022, for consideration of a return to in-person instruction for the 2022-2023 school year.

8.A.3) Approval of the Student Discipline Committee's Recommendation - (Case #166)
Description:
Approval of the Student Discipline Committee's recommendation to expel the student identified in Student Case #166 from in-person instruction at Howell Public Schools for the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year for violating Board Policy #5500 - Student Code of Conduct for harassment/bullying; with possible enrollment in the W-A-Y Program (if the student is accepted into the program based upon their admissions process). If the student is not accepted in the W-A-Y Program, the student may attend Highlander-Virtual. The recommendation includes hearing a Petition for Reinstatement to in-person instruction as early as July 1, 2022, for consideration of a return to in-person instruction for the 2022-2023 school year.
