New Assignment: HHS Food Service Assistant Janice Hartwig, effective October 20, 2014. New Hires Certified: HHS 1.0 American Sign Language Teacher Natalie Norris, effective October 10, 2014. 9.B. Payment of Vouchers
Description:
The interim superintendent recommends approval of expenditures from the following funds:
1. payment from the general fund of $4,078,216.10 and from payroll of $2,570,014.68 ; 2. payment from the student activity fund of $43,996.20; 3. payment from the HHS student activity fund of $108,075.46; 4. payment from the cafeteria fund of $129,531.88; 5. payment from the 2001 construction fund (FOA01C) of $76,791.46.

Description:
The interim superintendent recommends approval of dual enrollment tuition payments to the University of Michigan DEEP Program in the amount of $43,478 and to Lansing Community College in the amount of $12,770 as shown in Exhibit A.

10.C. Approval of Request to Increase Technical Mentor Hours in the Early Childhood Education Program - EXHIBIT B
Description:
The interim superintendent recommends approval of the request to increase the Howell High School Early Childhood technician/mentor hours to support the needs of high school students and meet the requirements of CTE programs. The increase would be funded with CTE Added Cost Dollars provided to the program for the remainder of the 2014/2015 school year and would not be an additional cost to HPS as shown in Exhibit B.

10.D. Approval of Equipment Donation for the Fire Academy Program - EXHIBIT C
Description:
The interim superintendent recommends approval of the donation from the Woodhaven Fire Department of their current ISI, S.C.B.A., air packs to the Howell High School Fire Academy Program for training purposes as shown in Exhibit C.

Description:
The Board President recommends approval of a pay rate adjustment for the Interim Superintendent, Cassandra D. Harmon-Higgins, Esq., of $163.79 per diem, effective October 2, 2014, through the time she serves in that capacity as shown in Exhibit D.

10.F. Appointment of Civil Rights Compliance Coordinators
Description:
The interim superintendent recommends that the Howell Board of Education appoint the Superintendent and the Executive Director of Labor Relations and Personnel as Civil Rights Compliance Coordinators to coordinate compliance activities and investigate complaints charging discrimination in compliance with the provisions of Title IX, Section 504, and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
