3.A. The student spotlight for December will focus on Arbor View Elementary's Inside Out Club. Inside Out is a school-wide club for students who want to make a positive impact on the world. The club starts in the fall when students in third, fourth, and fifth grades participate in service projects while developing leadership skills. Those students become the leaders and mentors when students in kindergarten, first grade, and second grade join the club in the spring. This is the eighth year of Inside Out at Arbor View. This year, the club will be hosting a Day of Service event for the first time. |
3.B. Congratulations to 8th graders: Lillian Archer, Amelia Bartoli, Nora Martinez, and Sophie Sweeney and 7th grader: Hannah Mastro. On October 28, 2023, music teacher Sam Koppitz and these Glen Crest students performed at the American Choral Directors Fall Conference in the ACDA Junior Honor Choir at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.

3.C. Congratulations to the Glen Crest Middle School students who have been selected for the prestigious Illinois Music Education Association District IX Junior Division Festival.
Band Charlotte Edwards - Trumpet Orchestra Dea Gjata - Violin Emily Goodin - Violin Madelyn Govertsen - Viola Max Klaus - Double Bass Logan Sassi - Cello Micah Williamson - Cello The ILMEA District IX Jr. Division Festival took place on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at West Aurora High School in Aurora. The students submitted an online audition and were chosen by professional music educators for the honors ensembles. The students rehearsed throughout the day and concluded with a concert for the public in the evening. Katie Berry, Lev Garbar, Kristi Kline and Andrew Ladendorf are proud of the hard work and dedication of these music students. |

7.A. Review of bids received for 2024 Construction Projects (BOE Goal: Changing financial needs and continuous improvement). Paul Pessetti, from Legal Architects, and Jim Leppert, from IHC Construction, will discuss the bids being awarded.

7.B. 2022-2023 Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) result data presentation, absentee information and SEL data monitoring update (BOE Goals: Continuous improvement and improved student learning). Superintendent Eccarius will discuss the results of the Illinois Assessment of Readiness, which was taken by all CCSD 89 students in March of 2023. The superintendent will also present data on truancy and chronic absenteeism. Finally, the superintendent will present information from the BESS screener, which measures students' social-emotional health.
