4.A. The Board of Education would like to congratulate Antonio Diaz for leading a successful summer school program. Nearly 300 students from kindergarten through seventh grade enrolled in the three weeks of 2022 summer school, making it one of the district’s largest ever. In addition to their academic work, each student participated in social and emotional lessons. Thank you to Antonio and the staff members who made this year's summer school a great success. |
4.B. Thank you to the community members who asked questions and engaged in conversations about the school bond referendum over the last year. And thank you to all the residents who voted on the referendum, which was approved by more than 71 percent of voters. The district will now be able to complete essential infrastructure projects at all five CCSD 89 schools while lowering residents’ tax rate, and students will continue to go to school in a safe, accessible, temperature-controlled environment.
