F.4. Consider Approval of Vendors for Additional Contracted Services for Special Education
Description:
The board previously approved vendors for Special Education Contract Services for the 2024-2025 School Year under RFP 2425-01. However, additional special education services have been identified that were not included in the original RFP.
To address these needs, RFP 2425-02 was issued, and 10 vendors responded. The selected vendors, and the specific services they propose to provide are listed in the attached document. None of these services were part of the original RFP 2425-01. The estimated cost for contracted services for special education for the 2024-2025 school year is $300,000 and will be paid from SHARS funds.

G.1. Consider Approval of 2023-2024 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report
Description:
Representatives from Pattillo, Brown, & Hill, L.L.P., the district’s independent audit firm, will present the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the Fiscal Year Ended June 30, 2024. The District received an unqualified opinion on the Financial Statements, report on Internal Controls, and Compliance over Federal Awards.

G.2. Consider Approval of District’s Tax Roll for Tax Year 2024
Description:
Tax Code 26.09(a)(e) requires the Board of Trustees to review and approve the district’s tax roll. Tarrant County Tax Office calculated the tax roll and provided the attached Tax Roll Summary report.

G.3. Consider Approval of Vendor for Renovation of Athletics Facilities at Brewer Middle School
Description:
The district is planning upgrades to the athletics facilities at Brewer Middle School, which include the renovation of the football field, track, and training room. This project will involve removing the existing surfaces and installing new turf to enhance safety and performance for students.
Funding for this renovation will come from the district's construction fund balance. The selected vendor and final project cost will be presented at the board meeting for approval. |
G.4. Consider Approval of Vendor for Demolition of Bleachers and Portables at Brewer Middle School and RISE/DAEP
Description:
The district is planning to proceed with the demolition of the visitor side bleachers and two portable classrooms at Brewer Middle School, as well as three portables located at RISE/DAEP (8500 Rockway). These structures are outdated and no longer meet the district’s safety and operational standards. The removal will clear space for future development and eliminate potential safety hazards.
The Demo Company has been selected as the vendor for this project. The total cost for the demolition services, including labor, debris disposal, and site clearing, will be $72,845. All work will comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations. Funding for this renovation will come from bond funds. |
