General Fund: Additional Transportation needs Fine Arts Fn 36 $16,640 Reallocation between functions for supplies Fn 11 & 23 $0 This amendment reduces fund balance by $16,640. Debt Service Fund: Investment Interest additional revenue $200,000 Early payoff of Bonds Fn 71 expense of $2,001,816 Reduce Bond Fees $326,947 This amendment uses all revenue for early payoff of bonds with no impact to Fund Balance. |

G.5. Consider Approval of Interlocal Agreement with Region 10 ESC Multi-Region Purchasing Cooperative Program (R10MRPC)
Description:
The district currently participates in the Region 10 Multi-Region Purchasing Cooperative (R10MRPC). The R10MRPC organizes and administers the child nutrition cooperative purchasing and commodity processing program.
The goal of the cooperative is to obtain substantial savings on food service items through volume purchasing. This Interlocal Agreement is for the 2024-2025 school year (July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025). R10MRPC requires the agreement well in advance due to forecasting requirements and procurement regulations. There is no charge to the district for membership.

G.6. Consider Approval of Vendor to Purchase Kitchen Equipment for Brewer Middle School
Description:
The district has processed RFP# 2324-04: Kitchen Equipment. This bid is for the purchase of kitchen equipment to be used at Brewer Middle School during the renovations of the cafeteria and kitchen.
Douglas Equipment is able to deliver the equipment in the necessary timeframe and will provide the best value to the district. The total cost is $53,358 and will be paid from the current Child Nutrition amended budget.

G.7. Consider Approval of Vendor for Condensing and Evaporator Equipment and Installation
Description:
Request for Proposal #2324-01A: Condensing/Evaporator Equipment and Installation was released on November 9, 2023, and closed on December 7, 2023. The scope of services includes the removal of existing refrigeration equipment and the purchase and installation of new refrigeration equipment to coolers and freezers in the kitchens at 4 campuses.
ISI Commercial Refrigeration LLC will provide the best value for the district. The cost for this project is $224,332 and will be paid from Child Nutrition Funds. A capital expenditure request has been submitted to the Texas Department of Agriculture for approval. |
G.8. Consider Approval of Vendor to Replace Exterior Doors at Three Campuses
Description:
Request for Proposal #2324-02A: Districtwide Exterior Doors was released on November 9, 2023, and closed on December 7, 2023. The scope of services includes the replacement of several exterior doors at 3 campuses.
Glass Doctor of North Texas will provide the best value for the district. The cost for this project is $85,829 and will be paid from the School Safety Standards Grant. |
G.9. Consider Approval of Vendor to Move Portable Buildings at Brewer Middle School
Description:
At the November 13, 2023, Regular Board Meeting, the Board approved the relocation of 2 portable buildings at Brewer Middle School at a cost, not to exceed, $38,590, with the vendor to be ratified at a future board meeting.
H.D. Snow and Son House Moving, Inc. is the vendor selected to complete this project, at a total cost of $31,490. |
G.10. Consider Public Information Act Deadline Calendar for 2024
Description:
During the regular legislative session, HB 3033 passed amending the Public Information Act by limiting the number of "non-business" days for school districts. It does allow boards to designate up to 10 days that will be considered "non-business days" for purposes of calculating PIA timelines.
