D.1. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF VENDOR FOR ARMOR CAR SERVICES
Description:
The District released a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Armor Car Services (RFP 2019-023) in March 2020. We received one response to the RFP from Brinks.

E.1. CONSIDER ADOPTION OF TAX RATE FOR 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR
Description:
The district is proposing a 2020 tax rate of $0.9616 per $100 valuation for maintenance and operations (M&O) and $.4543 per $100 valuation for interest and sinking (I&S) for a total rate of $1.4159 per $100 valuation.
The M&O tax rate is set by TEA based on a TEA survey. The rate calculated on the survey was $.9161. The Board of Trustees is allowed to add $.04 without a vote and $.01 cent by unanimous vote. The total proposed M&O tax rate is $.9616 (includes all extra pennies allowed). The proposed M&O tax rate is a decrease of $.0084 from prior year rate of $.97. The proposed I&S tax rate is a decrease of $.0257 from the prior year rate of $.48. The reduction in the I&S rate is due to the increase in property values versus the amount needed to fund the bonded indebtedness.

E.2. CONSIDER RATIFICATION OF VENDORS FOR PURCHASE OF COVID SUPPLIES
Description:
The Board is requested to ratify the following vendors for purchases made for COVID supplies. These orders were placed after quotes were obtained from several vendors and products were tested.
These orders were placed between July 16th and August 11th. The current approved amended budget includes these amounts. |
E.3. CONSIDER RESOLUTION TO RECALL TARRANT APPRAISAL DISTRICT BOARD MEMBER AND WAIVER
Description:
Tarrant Appraisal District Chief Appraiser notified the district on August 12, 2020 that John Molyneaux, Tarrant Appraisal District Board Member, is no longer able to serve in such capacity. As a taxing unit entilted to vote in the appointment of Board Members, on November 19, 2019, White Settlement ISD Board cast 18 votes for the appointment of Mr. Molyneaux to the TAD Board for the 2020-2021 term. This resolution will allow the Board to cast 18 votes in favor of the recall of John Molyneaux as a Member of TAD Board. Due to the urgency to appoint a replacement for Mr. Molyneaux, WSISD for this and only this instance, will waive and release its right and entitlement to nominate and vote for a candidate(s) to the TAD Board.
