At the board finance meeting, expenditures for the month of August were reviewed. Administration recommends approval of the August 2023 disbursements totaling $2,101,346.99. This includes Board Payables of $156,095.70, Hand Payments of $745,999.56, Electronic Payments of $1,192,160.73, and Student Activity Payments of $7,091.00.

7.1. Student Handbooks:
Description:
Below are links to the student handbooks with revisions for the 2023-24 school year. Approval of the handbooks is recommended.

7.2. Meal Prices:
Description:
The required minimum meal prices for adults and second meals for SY2023-24 are listed below. The calculation is based on the state and federal reimbursement rates plus the national average per meal value of U.S. Department of Agriculture Foods, rounded up to the nearest five cents. These rates are set by Food and Nutrition Services at MDE.
Breakfast- $2.25
The Free School Program provides students with 1 free breakfast and 1 free lunch per school day. Adult and student second meals will be charged at the above rates. A la carte items will also be charged at the posted price. Approval of the 2023-24 meal prices is recommended. Adult/Second Lunch- $4.95

Policy 506 Student Discipline (Adds Substantial Revisions) - Nonexclusionary disciplinary practices, reasonable force, recess, etc.
Policy 507 Corporal Punishment and Prone Restraint
- Adds Prohibitions article; prone restraint prohibition
Policy 509 Enrollment of Nonresident Students
- Adds application provisions
Policy 513 Student Promotion, Retention, and Program Design
- Adds Gifted and Talented Student provisions; early admissions
