Vice President Anthony Mestl called the Budget Hearings for the 2023-2024 school year to order at 6:00 PM and informed those in attendance that a current copy of the Open Meetings Act is posted in the meeting room, then directed the public to its location.

3.2. Discuss, consider, and receive input from the public about 2023-2024 budgets

Discussion:
Superintendent Jason Lavaley reviewed with the Board the budgets for the 2023-2024 school year. There will be no Final Tax Request Hearing for the 2023-2024 school year as of September 11, 2023, as Superintendent Lavaley and Board President Michael Neujahr will attend the Joint Public Hearing on September 19, 2023, at the Osceola Civic Center, because of the combined general fund and special building fund asking increase of 2.88%. A special meeting (hearing) will be held to approve the Final Tax Request for the 2023-2024 school year.
