Description:  The policy Services Advisories from ASBA reflect a number of changes that bring our policies up-to-date with legislative language changes. There are no significant changes to our policies and the Superintendent recommends approval with one point of clarification. On Policy G-3450 (GCF Professional Staff Hiring), the first bullet addressing no discrimination is not consistent with JTED’s non-discrimination statement. Approval of the policy update should include a note to ASBA Policy Services that they need to change that first bullet on page G-3450, Page 1 of 3 to read: “There will be no discrimination in the hiring process due to race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, language of origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or marital status of an otherwise qualified individual.”
