1.E. PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED 2009-10 BUDGET AND 2009 TAX RATE

1.E.6. The Board invites public comment on the proposed 2009-2010 school district budget and 2009 tax rate. A total rate of $1.44 per $100 of valuation has been proposed ($1.12 for the Maintenance and Operations rate and $.32 for the Interest and Sinking rate). No change is proposed from last year’s rate, which was also $1.44 ($1.12 M&O and $0.32 I&S). Copies of the proposed budget for 2009-2010 may be reviewed at the Navarro ISD Central Office, 6450 N. State Highway 123, located in Geronimo, Texas. The proposed budget may also be viewed at www.nisd.us. Click on Board of Trustees, then Boardbook.
