The City and the District desire to enter into an agreement whereby the City will identify a sworn, certified police officer to provide SRO Services at PHS during the 2025-2026 school year (the "School Year"). The City and District have partnered with an SRO for many years. The District is authorized to enter into the Agreement pursuant to A.R.S. §§15-342 and 11-952. RELEVANT INFORMATION: Skull Valley Elementary School District employs bus drivers, who require training and certification. PUSD employs a trainer for its bus drivers and will provide the necessary training for SVESD's new and existing bus drivers. 7.C.3. Governing Board to discuss and may consider action to approve in whole or in part the draft 2026 Political Agenda of the Arizona School Boards Association (ASBA) and direct the District's delegate to the ASBA delegate assembly to represent the Board's determined position.
RELEVANT INFORMATION: This marked-up version of the prior year's agenda will be presented at the Delegate Assembly. Rather than discussing every item, delegates will be able to focus on just the changes, additions, and deletions to streamline the process. RELEVANT INFORMATION: This MOU establishes an understanding between Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Federal Work-study Program (ERAU) and Prescott Unified School District/Granite Mountain Upper Elementary School (PUSD) for the purpose of having FWS students work as tutors in PUSD schools. ERAU will make students available to PUSD for the performance of specific tutoring assignments. ERAU does not assign students to job positions, but rather acts as a referral agency for work-study students looking for employment. RELEVANT INFORMATION: The purpose of this Agreement is to establish a collaborative partnership between the City and PUSD for the shared use, programming, maintenance, and development of the Prescott community Nature Center, in order to enhance environmental education, community recreation, and nature-based programming for the benefit of the residents and students of Prescott, Arizona. 7.C.9. Consider approving students recommended for early entrance into kindergarten for the 2025-26 school year, as presented.
RELEVANT INFORMATION: The parents of three (3) children have requested early entrance into kindergarten. In accordance with Governing Board Policy JEB, Entrance Age Requirements, all three children participated in early entrance screening using the Brigance Screening Tool. After completing kindergarten screening, two (2) children demonstrate academic, language, and motor skill readiness and are recommended for kindergarten. One (1) was not accepted. 7.C.10. Consider approving the Fiscal Year 2026 Capital Plan for the School Facilities Oversight Board, as presented.
RELEVANT INFORMATION: A Capital Plan for Prescott Unified School District must be approved by the Governing Board and submitted to the School Facilities Oversight Board annually. School districts considered as "growing" school districts must submit an annual Capital Plan following Governing Board approval. Due to enrollment fluctuating in the Prescott Unified School District, it is recommended that the Capital Plan for 2025-2026 be submitted with "NA" (not applicable) to indicate the school district does not intend to access any additional square footage at this time.
