VII. Share Preliminary Design Plans for Hawthorn Hills and Environmental Learning Center
Description:
Estimated Time to Present: 20 minutes
As referendum funded improvement plans develop for each facility, the Board will see updates when the designs reach 50% completion. Current plans for Hawthorn Hills Elementary and the School Forest Environmental Learning Center will be shared with the Board.

IX.A.1. Meal Price Recommendations for 2022-23
Description:
Estimated Time to Present: 1 minute
The USDA Paid Lunch Equity (PLE) tool was used to determine the new weighted pricing average for the 2022-2023 SY. This weighted average is used as the guide for the WSD Nutrition Services Department to update meal pricing for the upcoming 2022-2023 SY. In addition , the Wisconsin Adult Meal Price Calculation Guidelines provided by the DPI was used to update adult meal pricing utilizing the "pricing School Food Authority" option of the Wisconsin DPI pricing tool. Attached you will find a list of all prices for WSD meals.

X.A.3. Share Preliminary Site Plan for Hawthorn Hills Elementary
Description:
Estimated Time to Present: 1 minute
Consistent with what was shared with the community prior to the referendum vote, plans are developing for the construction of a new street that connects the end of Kickbusch Street with Washington Street. In order to design, construct, and eventually convey ownership of this street to the City, it will be necessary to coordinate all required developer agreements and ownership transfer documents between the City and the District. As the timeline determined by the City develops, the Board will continue to be informed of the District's obligations.

X.A.4. AIA Contracts for Referendum Design and Construction Management Services (Action Requested)
Description:
Estimated Time to Present: 1 minute
As the design process for referendum funded projects continues to develop, it is necessary to execute a pair of AIA (American Institute of Architects) contracts between the District and Nexus Solutions to define the work and clearly delineate all responsibilities. The administration has engaged legal counsel to assist in the review and development of all AIA design and construction management contracts between the District and Nexus Solutions. That work has concluded and administration seeks Board approval on the AIA contracts with Nexus Solutions. |

The June Education/Operations Committee meeting the Comittee discussed the need to create a policy for contract approval. Administration will continue working on the development of such a policy. |

X.A.7. Weighted Grades and/or Laude System Exploration
Description:
Estimated Time to Present: 1 minute
Dr. Jennifer Rauscher shared background information related to Weighted Grades and the Laude Systems in response to questions raised at the last Board meeting. After discussion, administration was directed to convene a committee of stakeholders to review data, explore perceptions and recommend what future action, if any, may be pursued.
