Description:
Administration will provide a summary of the Project Relaunch plan to reopen WSD schools. Project Relaunch has been developed by multiple committees over the past several months. It has been reviewed multiple times over the past several school board meetings. This presentation will serve to summarize the work and multiple presentations into a comprehensive report.

Administration requests the Board of Education consider the following resolution authorizing a bond referendum for $155,000,000.

VIII.B. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SCHOOL DISTRICT BUDGET TO EXCEED REVENUE LIMIT BY $3,000,000 FOR RECURRING PURPOSES (Action Requested)
Description:
Administration requests the Board of Education consider the following resolution authorizing a referendum to exceed the revenue limit by $3,000,000 annually on a recurring basis starting with the 2021-2022 school year.

RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR A REFERENDUM ELECTION ON THE QUESTIONS OF THE APPROVAL OF AN INITIAL RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $155,000,000 AND A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SCHOOL DISTRICT BUDGET TO EXCEED REVENUE LIMIT BY $3,000,000 FOR RECURRING PURPOSES (Action Requested)
Description:
Administration requests the Board of Education consider the following resolution to ask voters to consider two referendum questions on November 3, 2020. One question for issuing bonds for the purpose of capital improvements in an amount not to exceed $155,000,000 and another question to exceed the revenue limit by $3,000,000 beginning with the 2021-2022 school year on a recurring basis to fund full pupil services teams at each elementary school as well as other operational and maintenance expenses.
