VII. Operations

VII.A. Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Requests... Information
Description:
The district received a FOIA request and responded within the required timeframe to Adriana Blanco, who requested the total amount spent on menstrual products and feminine hygiene care from 2020 to the present, including expenditures for all school years up until the current budget (August 2025). The current inventory of menstrual products and feminine hygiene care being housed at the district’s administration office, along with a distribution schedule. The name and position of the individual(s) responsible for ordering these products, along with their ordering strategy to ensure that students’ needs are adequately met.
The district received a FOIA request and responded within the required timeframe to Emma Buker, who requested copies of any environmental assessments and reports related to the mold, as well as proof of remediation. Include any resulting mold testing reports. The district received a FOIA request and responded within the required timeframe to Angelica Richardson, who requested the full investigation report of [14/18/25] related to an incident that occurred in April 2025. The district received a FOIA request and responded within the required timeframe to Jeffrey Johnson, who requested for the dates of July 25th through August 5th, 2025. Requesting any & all documents, reports & contracts with Werner Restoration related to work involving mold at Rock Island High School. We are also requesting any & all documents, reports, test results & recommendations from Indoor Environmental Management related to work involving mold at Rock Island High School. Finally, we are requesting any correspondence between the Rock Island/Milan School District and the Environmental Protection Agency related to work involving mold at Rock Island High School. The district received a FOIA request and responded (with redactions) within the required timeframe to Adriana Blanco, who requested the total amount spent over the last 10 years at Logan River Academy. The [sic] most recent copy of the contract between the school district and Logan River Academy. Demographics of youth who attended Logan River academy over the past 10 years. The district received a FOIA request and responded within the required timeframe to Rhea Mae Lumanog, who requested information relating to the Architect Services request for solicitation due February 17, 2025. |
VIII. Executive Session
Description:
It is recommended that the Board of Education move to executive session to discuss pending litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probably or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting. 5 ILCS120/2(c)(11). In addition to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1). Collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(2).
