8.a. Elementary Handbook
Description:
Handbooks are considered Procedural, therefore, they do not require board approval. The handbooks are living documents, meaning they can change within the school year. If any changes occur throughout the year, I will inform the board immediately.

9. Consider/Approve MIles ISD Student Code of Conduct for 2024-25 School Year

10. Consider/Approve TASB Update 123
Description:
I included the local updates. All legal updates have to be implemented, however, our local policy is local to Miles ISD. If you would like the full version, I will have a copy at the board meeting. The big changes are the addition of EFA and EFB local- these are library book and materials requirements for Miles ISD.

12. Consider/Approve MOU with Workforce Solutions
Description:
Workforces Solutions provides students with the opportunity to experience college and career readiness. It will be funded out of CCMR funds, which the goal is for it to pay for itself out of CCMR Outcome Bonus Money. Attached is what Workforce Solutions provided us last year. Sierra Wilson is our advisor.

13. Consider/Approve Cafeterial Pricing for 2024-25
Description:
There is a .25 increase from last year due to the inflation of food items. Adult meals will be calculated at the next board meeting (waiting of data from the state).

14. Consider/Approve Renewal of Membership in Walsh Gallegos Retainer Program
|
15. Consider/Approve Miles ISD providing Recuro Health to all employees.
Description:
Recuro Health is a telemedicine resource for our staff. This would be for the employee and their family. It would cost the district $5/employee each month and will allow us to protect our Health Insurance Plan.
If Miles ISD chooses not to supply it, it would cost the employee $10/month to add to their supplemental. Page 8 on the attachment has the prices. |
16. Consider/Approve moving Coaches who are on a Dual Contract to an 11 Month Contract

17. Discussion/Approve increasing the one time salary pay for Employee Retention
Description:
Discussion will be over increasing it from $3000 for contract employees and $1000 for at will employees by either $1000 or $2000. The attachment will show the cost of each proposal with in addition to our current One Time Payment.

Consideration and possible action ranking and selecting proposals to the Request for Proposals for Construction Manager-at-Risk for the District’s Elementary Gym Project and 2024 Bond Projects, and delegating authority to the Superintendent to negotiate and execute the final contract for Construction Manager-at-Risk services
